A Turtle Beach Thanksgiving

A Turtle Beach Thanksgiving

Wow! A Perfect Southwest Florida Sunset❤️

Jim and I spent our Thanksgiving camping at Turtle Beach in Siesta Key, Florida. It was quiet and very nice. Getting a spot at this place is really hard. It’s always sold out, but, I managed to get 3 days over the holiday. I’m sure someone cancelled. That’s really the only way to get in at this awesome campground. If you try to reserve a spot on their website, they say they are sold out until June of 2021! I feel really lucky that the day I was stalking their site, I found these open days!
The holidays are obviously a contentious time during this COVID-19 pandemic. We are apart from our children and grandchildren. It’s hard sometimes, especially during the holidays.
When Jim and I moved from Los Angeles, we knew that spending holidays with our kids was going to come to a screeching halt. We are now full time Floridians, and have made quite a nice little life here.
As we walked on the beach this last few days, we both agreed we are very happy and content here. Yes, we miss the kids, but, we also thank God that we can communicate on FaceTime and now on Zoom. We both talked to our children on Thanksgiving, and that was good.
Here are a few pictures from our camping trip.

We loved our 2020 Pandemic Thanksgiving!
